Martinelli Luce was born in 1950 from the intuition of Elio Martinelli want to design and build the lamps for businesses that planned.      The lamps produced by Martinelli Luce are characterized by the originality and clean design, over the years the company has created the most important and iconic forms of Italian industrial design, doing just the principle of using the most innovative materials highlighting features intrinsic.      Prestigious brands, by Gae Aulenti to Marc Sadler, the years have enriched the production, Bat, Leaf, Bubble, the latest Profiterolle, Cobra, Hummingbirds are among some "names" of production that still continues to count a number of historical products '60s and' 70s, like a sort of company curator of our recent historical memory.

Gae Aulenti graduated in Architecture in 1953 at Politecnico di Milano, enters the Neoliberty movement that retrieves the architectural values of the past, worked between 1955 and 1965 with Casabella and is an assistant at the Faculty of Architecture in Venice.

In 1965 draws "Pipistrello" for the Paris store of Olivetti, from this collaboration are born other important projects such as the one with Gianni Agnelli that restructures the apartment in Brera.

The 70's see her projected on the international scene especially in the US, while in the following decade he became president of the Academy of Brera.

His design philosophy was born from the close influence between urban space and architecture as one  was born from the other.

Wonderful are the projects of the Orsay Museum in Paris and the National Museum of Modern Art at the Centre Georges Pompidou.
